Whether you're an aspiring artist or an experienced art instructor, the Gibson House is the perfect place to be inspired. Serving New Hampshire, Vermont, and all of the New England States, we're located just 25 miles north of Dartmouth College. More than half of our 10,000-square-foot building is public space. Every parlor and sitting room is a world in itself and provides village, garden or mountain views.
Two fifty-foot-long porches overlook the Connecticut River Valley and Green Mountains of Vermont, ensuring outdoor work and relaxation space in any weather. Our 2000-square-foot art gallery and workshop features 12-foot ceilings with great illumination. Our formal gardens and the picture-perfect Village of Haverhill Corner offer tranquility and visual stimulation.
The Gibson House is thrilled to host an accomplished group of artists/instructors with a lifetime of achievement:
• Many of these artists have written instructional books which are available for sale at their workshops.
• They have won numerous awards for their paintings, many of which are in private collections.
• They have exhibited in museums and galleries nationally and internationally.
• They have trained aspiring artists in workshops around the country.
Attending a Workshop at the Gibson House is an experience you will long remember. Weekday workshops receive a special rate of $135/night single occupancy, $175/night double occupancy. A gourmet breakfast, lunch and afternoon refreshments are included in the price. Excellent restaurants and evening entertainment are nearby.
