Living in The South of France has taught us how a change of scene can energize the creative spirit. We designed these personalized workshops to share our experience with people who feel ready for the next step in life and work.
Andrew Petrov, your coach/instructor, works one-on-one to help you advance your skills from where you are as an artist, to where you want to be. You'll stretch and expand with his focused persistence and surprise yourself with new aspects of your talent.
You'll have daily morning and afternoon plein-air sessions, selecting your site according to the light and scene. Your day begins with breakfast and a short walk or ride to your painting site. You'll work until lunchtime, when you'll enjoy a typically French lunch of great seasonal dishes and regional wines. After "sieste", you'll move on to your late-day site and work until sunset. Then painters wind down over a glass of wine and a light buffet supper. On rare rainy days we'll find shelter or take a planned excursion.
Your last workshop day, you'll join the excitement of preparing your completed pieces for the student show in our medieval gallery space. That night we'll welcome neighbors, local art lovers and international tourists who come to meet you and view your impressions of the area. It's an exhilarating high point that leaves you with lasting memories—and maybe a sale or two!
