All aspects of the natural world serve as inspiration and intrigue. This spans subject matter as diverse as Greek mythology untangling patterns of human emotion and behavior; to my “Back 40” which includes an exquisite and ancient eco-system often attracting remarkable and exotic wildlife. My role is chronicler, custodian, perhaps even guardian. The surface of the work remains active and spontaneous, a response to the densely layered colour and structure.
