Sketching-Journaling Workshop with Irene Brady

Sketching-Journaling Workshop with Irene Brady

Immerse yourself for four days in an unforgettable Journaling-Sketching workshop setting ~ at El Remanso Rainforest Lodge, nestled in the Costa Rican jungle on a long, wild Pacific beach.

Learn to journal and/or improve your writing and drawing skills with renowned nature writer and illustrator Irene Brady. In a series of classes covering creative journaling, nature sketching, landscape rendering, and adding color to your drawings with watercolor pencils, Irene uses unique techniques to guide you well beyond what you may have thought possible.

You’ll be delighted with the wonderful jungle atmosphere and your swift progress in the workshop. Classes are small and intimate -- only twelve students.

Awaken to a chorus of howler monkeys, watch macaws and spider monkeys from your breakfast table, attend classes in an open-air classroom, then draw and sketch your adventures from a rainforest trail, on a quiet Pacific beach, or high on a platform in the canopy of giant forest trees.

Braver souls can experience waterfall rapelling or an incredible shoulder massage under a 50’ waterfall. Hike the winding trails alone or with a naturalist. Swim in the lagoon or laze in the warm tidepools, and walk the long, sandy beach while watching for pelicans, frigatebirds, and migrating whales.

Write, sketch and paint your adventures in your journal as they happen or in your cozy cabina after dark. Then drowse off to a lullaby of frog and nighthawk calls.

Return home with a journaling sketchbook full of newly learned skills, and memories you’ll cherish forever.
