Parsons Summer Program for Design

Parsons Summer Program for Design

Each summer over 650 talented high school, college, and adult students from around the world come to Parsons to experience rigorous study and earn college credit. The program introduces students to the intellectual and technical rigors of professional art and design training. Whether in New York or Paris, the urban fabric of these cities and the resources of Parsons enrich and inspire these exceptional academic programs. Classes meet full-time Monday-Friday in 2-, 4- or 5-week sessions.

Digital Design
Classes emphasize design and creativity, while providing strong technical training. Instruction is flexible and open-minded, allowing for both the novice and the advanced student to make great strides throughout the semester.

Fashion Studies
Construction informs design and creativity inspires it. Fashion studies merges sketching and general visual skills with the power of the imagination. Parsons fashion students have consistently been at the forefront of cutting-edge style.

Fine Arts
Fine Art and Foundation courses provide a basis for all the art and design disciplines. Beginning artists and illustrators are introduced to essential tools and ideas, while those more experienced may further develop their skills and creativity in more advanced courses.

Graphic Design
Today's graphic designers must know current technologies and be aware of a rapidly changing image market. Parsons Graphic Design courses encourage the development of both realms.

Interior & Architecture
Interior Design and Architecture Studies courses give students a sensibility of space design, while Interior Decoration courses introduce them to antiques and furnishing.
