FRENCH LANDSCAPE WORKSHOP at MONTFAUCON with NINA WEISS

Join us for an exceptional 10 nights and eleven days at deluxe accommodations in Historic Limoux. Our fully restored 12th century private residence on the bank of the Aude river is just across ancient bridges to the central square of Limoux. Days are spent drawing and painting the scenic landscapes of Southern France via private transport. Students experience the landscape; medieval towns, and market squares of the enchanting Langudoc Region. Instruction includes lecture and demos on crucial elements of Landscape Painting: color theory; technique; composition; gesture, and form and more. Artists will have 24 access to our on-site studio. Travel easels and stools provided.

Evening meals are gastronomic pleasures of southern France local produce; served elegantly in the Montfaucon dining room or in extraordinary select local restaurants; abbys; and wineries.

“I've done a number of tours and excursions over the past years
and I can tell you that Montfaucon is absolutely the most lovely
and comfortable place that I’ve stayed for a painting tour”
Michelle, 2014
